On assuming the responsibility of the Chief of Police of Assam, I call upon the members of the Assam Police team to continue to discharge their duties with devotion, sincerity and commitment to the society and the Nation. The expectation and the responsibility entrusted to us by the society is enormous; therefore the need to respond positively to the common man and that we must do as a team. I also appeal to members of the civil society to extend all cooperation to Assam Police and help us to carry forward the interest of the state and the country and also to ensure an effective public-police partnership.
