Assam, Darrang: DOIMARI is a
leader of a terrorist organization.
On 23rd November 1995, members
of the organization planted
a powerful bomb that destroyed
a police vehicle and killed
several people. The offenders
took with them all the weapons
and ammunition that the police
had in their possession. DOIMARI
is one of those who ordered
the attack.
REASON FOR NOTICE :
Wanted
on an arrest warrant (no number),
issued on 4th February 1997
by the judicial authorities
in Udalguri, Darrang, Assam,
India, for attempted murder,
murder, wounding, theft, mischief,
criminal conspiracy, and violation
of the explosive substances
and firearms legislation. EXTRADITION
WILL BE REQUESTED FROM ANY COUNTRY.

to mount attack on patrol and
PMF, looting of Police Armoury,
Banks etc. He has established
links with
Foreign Agencies and countries
inimical to India and procured
sophisticated arms, ammunitions
and high explosives and modern
devices of communication.
To
enhance joint criminal activities
the warrantee and other representatives
of extremist organisations formed
a joint platform under the name
and style of Self Defence United
Front of South East Himalayan
Region.

The
Chairman of banned NDFB outfit
Ranjan Doimari and other high
ups of NDFB ordered and engaged
its trained cadres to plant
bombs to blast Police/PMF vehicles
and to mount attack on them
to kill and snatch away their
arms and ammunition. Accordingly
on 23-11-95 @ 1:30 p.m. NDFB
activist Soken Brahma and other
exploded a planted high power
bomb and destroyed a requisitioned
vehicle carrying 12th A.P.Bn.
personnel who were escorting
a team of photographers for
photo identity cards for voters.
The explosion followed by a
heavy shower of fire by the
NDFB activities resulted in
the death of ASI B.Sarmah, 6
A.P.Bn. personnel and the driver
of the vehicle and the arms
and ammunition were snatched
away from the slain Police personnel.
Ranjan
Doimari, the SS Chairman of
NDFB is responsible for the
killing, and snatching of arms
and ammunition and is wanted
in this case. But the accused
is absconding and evading arrest.
