One Mr. A.V.Srinivas, Proprietor, Saikrupa Marketing Services, Secunderabad (A.P.) enterd in an agreement in March 1999 with the accused Alok Goswami, MD, Green Field (Assam) Tea Company. Guwahati for running Business of Packed tea, a porduct of the above company in Andhra Region as consignee sale agent and deposited a total amount of Rs. 8,00,000/- as security deposit in advance with the accused. Alok Goswami through demand drafts in three phases from 1.3.99 to 19.3.99 as per term and conditions of the company through which the accused Goswami promised to supply a full truck load of 9000 kg. packed tea and also assured to provide other facilities like godown Rents, Salary of the Office Staff. STD Charged, Loading & Unloading Charges, Trade Commission an 15% service charges on security deposit. But instead of sending full consignment of tea packets, the accused sent a part consignment 3200 Kg. tea packets in the month of May'99 but the same could not be liquidated in the local market in A.P. due to its inferior quality, bad smell and bitter tests. The accused Aloke Goswami did not respond to the victim Mr. A.V.Srinivas although several correspondence were made to this effect not sent consignment of remaining tea packets till middle of September, 1999. The victim Mr. A.V. Srinivas visited company's HQ at Guwahati on 14.9.99 in search of the Accused Goswami but the accused in the meanwhile closed down the office of the Company and shifted to Calcutta taking the books of accounts and the Computer and absconded.

The victim Mr. A.V. Srinivas filed and FIR with CID, Assam to this effect and accordingly CID PS Case No.24/99 U/S 4064/20/120(b)/506 IPC has been registered and investigated.

This accused person has cheated M/S Narayan Agency, Bhubaneswar also in the similar way in the year 2000 by not sending a single consignment of tea against security deposit of Rs. 5,00,000/- received by the accused Goswami through Demand Drafts.

This accused Alok Goswami is a habitual cheat who had cheated two other parties of Bardhaman (WB) and Maharastra also in 1998 in similar way. This refers Geetanagar PS Case No. 86/98 and 87/98 u/s 406/420 IPC and Charge Sheets already submitted in both the cases against him. Cases are now pending trial but the accused is not attending the Court also.

This absconding accused aloke Goswami was changing his location at Calcutta at a very short intervals since 1999 after his shifting from Guwahati for concealing his presence from from Police Vigilance and after continuous restless efforts with the help of Calcutta Police his last location could be traced at Salt Lake Town, Calcutta but the accused could not be apprehended as he again left Calcutta for somewhere. It also came to light in course of search at Calcutta that the accused Aloke Goswami planned and another conspiracy to cheat more parties stating two other tea companies in name and style as "Twin Tea Company, Calcutta" and "Torrent Tea India Ltd. " calling applications for C& F Agency etc.

So, in order to save the innocent people from his such conspiracy, his immediate arrest is urgently required.
