INAUGURATION
OF CID GALLERY
On
06-05-2002 the DGP, Assam inaugurated the CID
Gallery at CID(HQ) where the Director, NCRB and
other Senior Officers were present. The object
of the Gallery is to facilitate CID to play more
pro-active role in training, capacity building
and enhancement of knowledge for the serving and
newly recruited investigating Officers and other
 Police
personnel. CID carries out a number of training
programmes for benefiting the Officers in investigation
in the field of Finger Printing and other areas
of scientific policing. Through this Gallery,
on regular intervals School Students would be
given conducted tours to make them aware of healthy
Police-public relations and co-operation and this
would motivate them to engage them in research
and development activities relating to modernization
of policing technique and methods. The trainees
as well as the visitors would be adressed by audio
visual presentations regarding crime and criminality
in the society and their prevention and detection
etc.
